This course provides an understanding of the normal structure, biochemistry and physiology of the mammalian body and the processes leading to disease. The course aims to make graduates job ready. Students are exposed to current technologies, learn techniques and develop skills that are widely transferable to the workplace. Students work in well-equipped laboratories with scientists involved in cutting-edge medical research. The course is multidisciplinary, with contributions from several fields of study, including anatomy and physiology, pharmacology and biochemistry, microbiology and parasitology, immunology and epidemiology, and pathology and pathobiology.
